Q: What motivated you to start Ventures Platform?
​
A: After several years working with corporates and governments delivering technology solutions, I had become convinced that Africa needed to support bold and innovative entrepreneurs with capital and all the resources they needed to plug the gaps created by government in-efficiency; this was the motivation for Ventures Platform.
Q: What’s your process for incubating tech companies?
​
A: We identify high potential teams at the earliest stage of their development and provide them access to capital, distribution, and mentorship, working with them very closely to first find product-market fit and then scale.

Q: What challenges do you face due to the state of the technology sector in Nigeria?
​
A: Several challenges are bedeviling the technology sector in Nigeria; they include;
1. Poor and expensive connectivity
2. A lack of a unified national identity system
3.Archaic and non-responsive educational curriculum and teaching methods in our educational system
Q: If you were the Minister of Information Technology in Nigeria, how would you resolve the technology sector's challenges?

A: There are many things to be done if I was minister, but my 2 priorities will include;

Improving the educational curriculum to build a solid base for growing the talent we need

Harmonizing and simplifying the countries disparate identify management systems
Q: Who in the global technology community do you admire the most?
A: I admire Elon Musk's audacity and boldness of vision
Q: What new technologies are you interested in, and why?
A: I am interested in blockchain and cryptocurrency because of its ability to reduce transaction costs, improve trust, and accelerate global transactions flows.

Q: If you could solve any global problem, what would it be, and why?
A: I would solve economic inequality because I believe it is at the heart of a lot of today's global tensions.

Q: You have many artworks at Ventures Park. Who is your favorite Nigerian artist, and why?
A: I love Modupeola Fadugba because her work has debt and portrays black women in a positive light, something the world needs more of.
